HELPING YOUR TATTOO HEAL & INSURING IT'S LONGEVITY
Getting a tattoo may be one of the biggest decisions of your life. That's why you need a tattoo aftercare bandage to prevent Infections and scarring from ruining your tattoo.
Saniderm creates a barrier around your freshly tattooed skin, protecting it from dust, bacteria, moisture, and other external irritants.
This transparent tattoo aftercare bandage is completely waterproof yet breathable to ensure that the skin receives the airflow it needs to heal and remain sweat-free.
Using a product like Saniderm, specifically designed for tattoo aftercare, allows your tattoo to heal safely and look like the masterpiece it is.
BASIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Leave the Saniderm on the tattoo for up to 5 days if possible. If it is uncomfortable please try to leave it on for the first 24 hours.
You may need a second bandage after 48 hours. If so, remove the original Saniderm bandage after 48 hours.
Under running water if possible, wash the tattoo gently with a liquid soap. Rince thoroughly, and gently pat dry with a clean lowest lint towel.
Wait at least 4 hours before replacing the Saniderm bandage.
(making sure your tattoo is completely dry)
Replace the Saniderm bandage and leave on for the last 3 to 4 days.

AFTERCARE
Apply a pea sized amount of lotion or other aftercare product to the tattoo area and gently rub until it all goes into the skin. If still too dry apply more in small amounts to keep the skin elasticity.
A small amount goes a long ways. Dab dry if too much is applied.
DO NOT OVER MOISTURIZE!

Follow these instructions once or twice a day for 3 to 4 weeks if necessary .
Too much moisture or the wrong product can cause heavy scabbing, scarring, loss of color, and much more...
remember a little goes a long ways.

MORE ON AFTERCARE: HELPING YOUR TATTOO HEAL AND INSURING IT'S LONGEVITY.
Your new tattoo is a form of expressive body art which is designed to last a life time. The most important thing to increase the chances of your tattoo retaining it's intended look, for as long as possible, is proper tattoo aftercare. Listen only to your artist or healthcare professional as they are certified and will explain the instructions and answer any questions for you. The size and location of your tattoo will have a direct bearing on the healing time. While these are not always in your control because everyone is different, the aftercare is up to you and can make a huge difference in how well and how fast your new tattoo heals. *An inevitable part of the healing process with your new tattoo involves some itching, peeling, and possibly some scabbing. It's extremely important to resist the urge to scratch your new tattoo or pick at any peeling skin. As you wash or shower, your tattoo will begin to flake off the dead skin. Do not panic this is completely normal. It's best to let the scab peal and fall off on its own. *Please keep in mind that although your new tattoo will feel healed as soon as a week with proper tattoo aftercare, you should continue to follow the instructions for a minimum of 30 days. This will increase your chances of keeping that new tattoo looking great for many years to come.
The healing process for your tattoo will take up to 45 days although it will appear to be healed much sooner than this. As your tattoo heals, your body will slough off and replace the damaged skin cells with new ones and this complete process takes up to 45 days. You can expect some mild discomfort, similar to a sun burn, which will last up to from 3 days to a week, possibly more, depending on factors such as your body tolerance and location of your new tattoo. You can also expect, to varying degrees, a bit of; tenderness, mild swelling, small amount of redness, color seepage, itching, peeling, and scabbing. With a proper regime of tattoo aftercare, these symptoms can be greatly minimized or even eliminated in some circumstances.
Any tattoo will fade to some degree with age, this is an unavoidable consequence but one that can be kept to a minimum with long term aftercare and a few simple precautions. The number one enemy of your tattoos longevity is UV radiation from direct and prolonged exposure to the sun or tanning beds. Exposure to UV rays should be avoided completely (As reasonably possible) during the first 45 days. After this time it is recommended that you use a UV blocking sunscreen on your tattoo to avoid excessive and premature fading. A proper sunscreen to protect your tattoo should have SPF 50+ being most recomended.
